Thermocouples Types J and K

Wide temperature range to 900 C

  Rugged and dependable

  316 stainless steel probe sheath

Many sizes, fittings, leads and terminations

Select thermocouples for demanding industrial and commercial applications in the higher temperature ranges to 900 degrees C. Thermocouples offer a generally faster speed of response than RTD's and are normally lower in cost. The robustness of the thermocouple makes it especially suitable for industrial use. Thermocouples are also fast to respond and can accept long extension wire lengths.

The thermocouple is based on the principle that a measurable and predictable voltage is generated at a junction between two dissimilar metals, which is a function of temperature. Measurement of the voltage indicates process temperature.

STYLE AND TYPES AVAILABLE

Tube and wire style assembly. Features a straight sheath with epoxy end seal. Rugged construction includes four point strain relief crimp.
Standard tube and wire construction with formed bend to allow entry into a medium from a 90 degree angle. Bends and shapes can be customized to specific application
Features ring lug mount, which can be easily mounted under existing hardware
Precision thermocouple with ergonomic handle. Tip design can be used for air, surface or penetration measurements.
Feature standard 1/4 NPT fitting welded to the sheath for mounting the thermocouple assembly. Has moisture barrier epoxy end seal for high humidity use.
Features dual 1/2 NPT fitting welded to the sheath for mounting the thermocouple assembly. Can be used to attach a head assembly and to replace most process applications. Has moisture barrier epoxy end seal for high humidity use.
Includes SS compression fitting for mounting the thermocouple assembly. Has moisture barrier epoxy end seal for high humidity use.
Low cost. For air temperature measurement in a dry environment. Has standard compensated min-plug.
