Two-Hand Machine Control and Timer |
□
Anti-tie-down design |
Model
CT is both a control and a safety device. In the manual operation of
machinery, it provides the operator with accuracy, more time through
automation, and the prevention of injury.
With
a remote potentiometer the operator establishes the amount of dwell time
before the machine is operated. Once the timer is set, the operator must
depress two switches within ¼ second of each other. The location of the
switches will require two hands to be used. The machine will function and
hold. At which point the operator may release the switches to perform other
duties.
The machine will hold for a set time period, then complete the function cycle, which resets the machine for the beginning of the next function cycle. The machine will automatically stop if the switches are released before the hold period of the machine operation is reached. The machine will not begin if only one switch is actuated, nor will it begin a function cycle automatically after a cycle has been completed. The two switches must again be depressed to start a new cycle. These safety features meet OSHA standards and help provide injury free operation.
